Oh… the places music can take you 🎶
From Music to Law, Biomedical Science to Neuroscience, our A Level Music and Music Technology pupils have secured offers from universities including the University of York, Durham University and Warwick University.
Through performance, composition, analysis and independent study, students develop valuable transferable skills including creativity, communication, self-management and critical thinking. Alongside their studies, students have enriched their learning through ensembles, industry masterclasses and performances at prestigious venues including De Montfort Hall.
We are incredibly proud of all our students and look forward to seeing them thrive on the exciting pathways they have chosen🎓✨

Rising performing arts star 🎭 🌟
We recently sat down with Estella, a talented Year 9 pupil, to hear all about her incredible journey in musical theatre so far.
Despite her young age, Estella has already performed in world-class productions, including the West End hit Matilda and The Book Thief. Most recently, she appeared in The Secret Garden in York.
It was inspiring to hear about her experiences on stage, the dedication involved in balancing school and performing, and her passion for theatre. We’re incredibly proud of everything she has achieved and can’t wait to see where her talent takes her next!

Which sportswomen inspire our staff? ⚽️🎾🏑Ahead of the Women`s FA Cup Final this Sunday, we asked our Sports staff which female athletes have inspired them the most. From decorated footballers to once-in-a-generation talents, we continue to be inspired by incredible athletes from around the world. Any we missed? Let us know who you`re inspired by!
We are delighted to congratulate our Head of Netball, @ellaclark_7 on her selection for @englandnetball’s 2026/27 Vitality Roses squad. 🌹 🏐
Ella’s selection is a testament to her commitment, expertise and passion for the sport. Beyond her own achievement, she continues to have a significant impact on pupils across the Foundation, inspiring the next generation of athletes.
Having role models like Ella is so important for our young people. She demonstrates what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance and ambition, while helping our pupils develop confidence and a love of sport.
Congratulations, Ella, on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud and look forward to celebrating your success on the court.
Three Year 8 pupils. Three national awards. One unforgettable day at Old Trafford. ⚽🏆
We`re incredibly proud to share that three Year 8 pupils from Loughborough High School have won awards in the Show Racism the Red Card School Competition for England, claiming first and third place positions respectively across three categories – Creative Writing, T-Shirt Design and Music.
They were invited to Old Trafford football stadium earlier this month to attend the awards ceremony where they met former professional footballers John Barnes and Viv Anderson – who made history by becoming the first black player to represent the England senior men`s national team.
Emily and Sia performed their pieces to the ceremony’s audience. Emily read out her poem about standing up to racism while Sia sang ‘The Colour of My Skin’ – a song she wrote specifically for the competition.
An inspiring achievement and a proud moment for our school community.
