If you have arrived here, you and your daughter are almost certainly in the process of making a really important decision about an education which will help to shape her future.

We are as keen as you will be that you have all the information you require to make that choice a well-informed and wholly positive one.

We hope you have found this website a good introduction to High School life, but we wholeheartedly recommend you attend an admissions event or visit on a school day for a personal tour. Together these will give you a real sense of the character and spirit of the School and an opportunity to meet our wonderful staff and pupils, see our facilities and appreciate how the High School benefits from being part of the family of Schools which form the Loughborough Schools Foundation.

Once you have visited the School, met our pupils and staff and feel confident that this could be the School where your daughter could thrive, the next step is to consider registering for the Entrance Assessments. Our main intakes are into Years 7 and 12. However, spaces may be available for other year groups or for in-year moves. If you are considering either of these for your daughter, please contact our Admissions Manager.

Personal Tours

Personal Tours of the School are available on school days by appointment. Come and meet with a member of our Senior Leadership Team and see the school in action.

Taster Days

We would be delighted to welcome your daughter for a day, if she is looking to join us in Year 8 or above. We find it is an excellent way for girls to understand what life is like at the High School as well as giving them a chance to meet our wonderful pupils and staff.

When you know that we are the school for your daughter, you can apply via the link below. Early application is recommended, and we always advise registering by December for the January assessment day.

If you are outside of this window, or are looking for an in-year move, please contact the Admissions Manager as she will be pleased to arrange a bespoke assessment process.

If you are applying for School Assisted Place (SAP), please apply early as financial forms must be submitted by the end of October.

Scholarships can be applied for by notifying us in the section on the Registration Form.

Years 7

2027/28 Entrance Examinations will be held on Saturday, 16 January 2027.

Years 8-10

2027/28 Entrance Examinations will be held on Tuesday, 19 January 2027.

Sixth Form

Assessment for entry to the Sixth Form is by interview, reference and GCSE grades. Following a successful interview, a provisional offer of a place will be made which is dependent on:

the receipt of a satisfactory reference from your daughter’s current school
a sound performance in GCSE; we expect students to gain at least five grade 6s overall which should include Maths, English and a Science (regardless of the subjects to be taken at A Level). Typically, we require at least a grade 7 in subjects to be continued although this is higher in some subjects. Individual entry requirements for each subject can be found in the Options Booklet.

However, each application is considered individually and offers made accordingly.

Years 7-10

Offers for entry to Years 7-10 are sent out within two weeks of your daughter sitting her Entrance Assessment.

Parents of girls accepted for places will be asked to pay a deposit on acceptance of the place offered. The amount of the deposit is refunded to parents when a student leaves the school.

Sixth Form

You will be asked to contact us on GCSE results day to notify us of the grades your daughter has achieved and, provided she has met the requirements specified in your offer letter, the provisional offer will be confirmed straightaway. Should she not meet the entry requirements, it may be possible to offer courses in alternative subjects and we would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

Parents of girls accepted for places will be asked to pay a deposit on acceptance of the place offered. The amount of the deposit is refunded to parents when a student leaves the school.
