At Loughborough High School, we combine expert coaching, outstanding facilities, and a diverse programme of activities to inspire a lifelong love of sport. We’re proud of the strength of our Sport department, with our girls regularly competing at County and National Level. This is paired with expert coaches who many themselves are Elite or former elite athletes.

CCF

Combined Cadet Force

Give your daughter the chance to develop resilience, leadership and self-discipline through the Combined Cadet Force. Open to pupils in Year 10 and above, this unique partnership with the Ministry of Defence offers exciting opportunities across the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, and the Corps of Drums.

DofE

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a great way for girls to unlock new skills, friendships and experiences that will stay with them for life. Girls can begin their DofE Award in Year 9, and can continue onto the Gold Award in Sixth Form.

VSU

Voluntary Services Unit

At Loughborough High School, girls in Years 9 to 13 have the opportunity to join the Voluntary Service Unit (VSU), a well-established and highly popular initiative within the school community. The VSU enables pupils to contribute meaningfully to the lives of others while gaining valuable personal experience.

Academic

We’re proud to be one of the leading all girls schools in the Leicestershire in the East Midlands, achieving outstanding GCSE and A Level results year in 2025.

Lower (Years 7 – 9)

n Year 7 our pupils study a broad and balanced curriculum which includes English, Mathematics, Science, Latin and Art. In Year 9, girls begin to lay the foundations for GCSE.

Senior (Years 10 – 11)

Girls work towards nine GCSEs, on a curriculum that includes something for everyone to excel in. This is paired with a comprehensive co-curricular programme.

Sixth Form

With 28 A Levels taught and a comprehensive destinations programme, you can be assured our Sixth Form will best prepare your daughter for her life goals.
