We’ve embraced ‘Great British Bake Off season’ here at Loughborough High School and have enjoyed hosting our very own House competition over the last couple of weeks.
Inspired by biscuit week, our bakers have been busy bringing their creative ideas to life as they vied to win the prestigious star baker title for their House.
Following a competitive semi-final, where we were impressed by the quality of entries from pupils across year groups, the girls undertook a timed one-hour baking challenge.
Working well under pressure, the bakers mixed their ingredients, baked, and decorated their biscuits all within the time slot.
Each and every biscuit had a beautiful design, and bakers were inspired by a range of themes, from School life and values to celebrating our 175-year history.
Finally, they presented their biscuit creations to be evaluated by a panel of judges who were looking for both presentation and taste. It definitely wasn’t an easy decision!
We’d like to thank all our bakers for their contribution to the competition; everyone involved should be very proud of their bakes.
For each year group, star baker goes to:
- Year 7, Fearon
- Year 8, Burton
- Year 9, Fearon
Congratulations go to this year’s House star baker… Fearon!
