Ella Clark selected for Netball England’s Vitality Roses

Ella returns to the Vitality Roses for the first time since 2023 following an outstanding season with Loughborough Lightning in the Netball Super League. Her selection is recognition of her continued excellence at the highest level of the sport and reflects the performances that have established her as one of the country’s leading netball players.

Selection to the Vitality Roses programme follows a rigorous assessment process, with England Netball evaluating players’ performances throughout both domestic and international competition. The programme brings together England’s top athletes for a year of training camps, international competition opportunities and high-performance support as they represent and prepare to represent their country on the world stage.

A dual international in both basketball and netball, Ella has enjoyed a distinguished sporting career. Having competed professionally in basketball overseas and represented England in netball, she brings a wealth of elite sporting experience to her role leading netball across Loughborough High School and Fairfield Prep School.

Since joining the Foundation in 2019, Ella has played a central role in developing netball across the schools, helping pupils to develop not only their technical skills and understanding of the game, but also the confidence, resilience and teamwork that sport can foster.

Her leadership has also been instrumental in the continued development of the Foundation’s Netball Player Pathway Programme, providing aspiring young athletes with enhanced coaching, strength and conditioning support, and opportunities to learn from those performing at the highest levels of the sport.

For pupils Loughborough High School, Ella’s selection is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through dedication, perseverance and a commitment to excellence. While competing at the very highest level of netball, she remains deeply committed to supporting and inspiring the next generation of players, sharing her expertise and experiences with pupils every day.

We are incredibly proud of Ella’s achievement and look forward to following her journey with the Vitality Roses over the coming year.
