Netball success at county finals

Talented young netball players crowned county champions

Our Year 8 and Year 10 teams celebrated an outstanding day of netball success at Loughborough University by securing silver and gold medals at the Team Leicestershire county netball finals.

Following strong performances throughout the competition, both teams progressed to the final stage of the tournament, which brings together schools from across Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland. Team Leicestershire competitions provide inclusive, high-quality opportunities for young people to represent their schools and compete locally, with the chance to progress through to county finals and beyond.

The Year 10 team delivered a particularly impressive performance, defeating last year’s champions in the semi-finals before facing Welland Park Academy in the final. Demonstrating exceptional skill, composure and teamwork, they were crowned county champions after a decisive 20–8 victory, finishing an impressive 12 points ahead of their opponents.

The Year 8 team also performed superbly, battling through a highly competitive field to secure a well-deserved silver medal in their age group.

Both our Year 8 and Year 10 teams played brilliantly at the Team Leicestershire county finals and we’re proud to see our Year 8 team secure silver. Our Year 10’s played exceptionally well as a team, and it’s been wonderful to see all their hard work in training shine through as they were crowned county champions.
