Nurturing potential, opening doors

Students celebrate Oxbridge offers

In the week students across the country receive the outcomes of their applications to the University of Cambridge, we’re delighted to share that three of our students have secured Oxbridge offers to study Engineering, Human, Social and Political Sciences, and Philosophy, Politics and Economics respectively.

This reflects just a snapshot of the university application success of our Year 13s this year, however, as we’ve already received a phenomenal collective total of 216 offers to a wide range of top institutions and courses, including medicine and veterinary science. At this early stage in January, we expect this number of offers to continue to rise.

We’re also delighted to see students reach the fourth and fifth rounds of highly competitive degree apprenticeships with leading companies such as Rolls Royce, Deutsche Bank and the BBC.

From Theoretical Physics to Sport and Exercise Sciences, Aerospace Engineering to Ancient History, the career prospects for our pupils this year are incredibly diverse and exciting.

We’re proud to offer our girls tailored and comprehensive support to secure whatever future she chooses. From the beginning of their Sixth Form journey, all students work alongside our Head of Futures, Director of Sixth Form and specialist tutors to develop a clearly defined two-year plan designed to roadmap each stage of their individual journey and provide clear steps towards reaching their desired outcome for life beyond LHS.

Whether our students are applying to Oxbridge, pursuing their dream university, or embarking upon a degree apprenticeship, as the school of her future, we provide every girl with the tools, guidance, and support to reach her full potential.
