Co-educational Campus

A Family of Schools on a Co-educational Campus

Loughborough High School is proud to be part of the Loughborough Schools Foundation, a unique family of independent schools located on a shared co-educational campus in the heart of Loughborough, in the East Midlands.

Set within beautiful grounds, our campus is home to around 2,000 pupils aged from six weeks to 18 years. It offers a vibrant, supportive environment where young people are encouraged to explore their interests, develop their talents, and achieve their full potential.

Exceptional Opportunities with Shared Resources

Pupils at Loughborough High School benefit from a wide range of outstanding facilities available across the Foundation. These include a purpose-built Music School, cutting-edge STEM resources, Forest School adventures, and a rich co-curricular programme that caters to all interests.

Collaborative events are a defining feature of our co-educational community. Highlights such as the annual Spring Concert at De Montfort Hall, joint drama productions, and academic enrichment days bring pupils together from across our schools and year groups to celebrate achievement and shared experience.

The school’s extensive catchment area is supported by a reliable and well-established transport network, ensuring that pupils can access everything our campus has to offer with ease.

A Strong Sporting Culture

Sport is a central part of life on campus. Pupils have access to top-class facilities and expert coaching, including from current and former professional athletes. Whether aiming for elite performance or taking part for enjoyment, all pupils are encouraged to embrace the benefits of physical activity.

Our Sport Scholarships and Student Athlete Programme provide structured support for those looking to take their sport to the next level.

Co-educational Learning with Academic Flexibility

While Loughborough High School and our sibling school, Loughborough Grammar School, maintain their own distinctive teaching up to Year 11, there is increasing academic collaboration in the Sixth Form.

In Sixth Form, pupils benefit from a co-educational approach to a range of A Level subjects. Courses such as Psychology, Politics, Economics and Music are taught in mixed classes, allowing students to enjoy a broader curriculum and a more diverse learning environment that reflects life beyond school.

This carefully balanced model combines the benefits of an all girls’ school with the advantages of co-educational learning, offering the best of both worlds.

Loughborough Grammar School

Founded in 1495, Loughborough Grammar School is a leading all-boys school that shares the campus with Loughborough High School and Fairfield Preparatory School. The school provides a first-class education within a happy, aspirational setting where every pupil is encouraged to thrive.
