A Level Results
Loughborough High School remains one of the country’s leading girls’ schools after 64% of grades were awarded at A* to A – the highest grades on record under the reformed A Level system. Alongside this, almost one third of A Level grades are A*.
A*-A results have risen by 1.3% across the East Midlands, significantly outperformed by a 13% rise at Loughborough High School.
The excellent A Level results are testament to the incredible dedication of our A Level students and the guidance of our subject specialist staff as many of our girls are going on to study at top universities. Seven students have been awarded Oxbridge places and destinations also include University College London, University of Sheffield, University of Nottingham and Queen Mary University of London.
A total number of 11 students are also set to embark on medicine-related degrees, including Veterinary Science and Dentistry.
Reflecting on the A Level results achieved this year, Head of Loughborough High School, Dr Fiona Miles, said: “We could not be prouder of our fabulous Year 13 pupils, who have achieved truly outstanding results in our 175th anniversary year as a school. They have been a joy to work with, and we wish them all the very best as they go out into the world as confident, dynamic and independent young women.”

More than 50% were awarded Grade 9-8 and five pupils achieved the fantastic feat of eight or more Grade 9s.
Head of Loughborough High School, Dr Fiona Miles, said: “We could not be prouder of our Year 11s, who have achieved super GCSE results while also giving so much to the School, from sporting success to excellence in music, drama and much more. We can’t wait to see them in the Sixth Form!”
Results across the cohort were strong and many pupils look to pursue their studies in our supportive Sixth Form. With a broad range of subjects to choose from, we ensure our girls have every opportunity to succeed in their future careers and beyond.
